We currently have a number of permanent and temporary opportunities for Project Manager's to join the Business Support Programme Delivery team based in Bradford
What will the role involve?
We have a number of great opportunities to join the Programme Delivery department, leading the way in delivering large scale projects during an exciting time of business and technological change. One of our transformational changes is within our internal IT function which provides leading edge technology services to a wide range of internal and external customers and partner organisations.
We are also embarking on a significant technological business change which includes a major SAP implementation, renewing our customer solutions and the creation of a digital business. This all forms part of our £50m pa investment programme which you will be become a part of.
In the future we want to control and optimise our assets in real time and interact with our customers through their preferred channel. Using resources to prevent asset failure and managing operational risk will all become core capabilities. These business capabilities will require leading edge infrastructure, sensors, analytics platforms and applications which are easy to use and support effective and efficient decisions at all levels in the organisation.
As a Project Manager you will be responsible for leading a project team and successfully delivering agreed objectives and benefits. You will have overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project. Throughout you will be accountable for leading your project team, ensuring tasks are delivered to time, cost and quality, managing risks and issues, reporting progress on a regular basis and ensuring all activities are compliant with health and safety.

The specific project management skills we are looking for include:

- Resource management and resource conflict resolution
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and management
- Influencing, leadership and motivational skills
- Experience of working with both internal and external teams
- Financial budget control and forecasting
- Issue and risk management
- Communication skills
- Health and safety awareness
You will ideally be familiar with the use of Microsoft Project 2010 and have experience of Prince 2 or APM, although this is not essential, as training will be provided.
You will be required on occasions to travel to different operational sites, therefore and a full valid EU driving license is required.
