This a full time permanent position based in Hampshire
What will the role involve?
The Field Technician role is exciting and varied. You will work mostly outdoors as part of a team helping to keep MoD bases provided with 24/7 water and wastewater service.
This role operates a one week in five stand-by rota.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating and maintaining clean and waste water assets.
- As part of the front line operation you will be representing the company on Site as well as liaising with representatives from the MOD and other service partners.
Your work will be a mix of planned and reactive jobs. You will use a laptop to keep accurate records and provide feedback on completed works, therefore you must be competent using IT systems.
What skills are we looking for?
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, team player and have a logical approach to problem solving.
You will have drive and enthusiasm, excellent time management skills and work well under pressure.
Overall the role will call upon your analytical, problem solving IT skills, and your ability to innovate, adapt and to work in accordance with our Health & Safety procedures.
An effective communicator you will also build up relationships with our key stakeholders including the MoD and Service Partners.
Experience working in the Utilities Industry in particular Water Industry Operations/Process would be an advantage.
Demonstrable mechanical or practical experience would be an advantage.
The role involves travel across our operational sites; therefore, a full EU driving licence is required as is the ability to obtain full MoD security clearance.
