Salary up to £45,000 per annum dependant on experience + attractive pension + quarterly performance related bonus + 25 days holiday
This is a full time permanent opportunity based in Barnsley.
What will the role involve ?
You will lead a team to develop technical options and solutions for exploiting opportunities and mitigating any risks associated with the supply and sale of water including ownership of the leakage management strategy. You will set the leakage strategy and targets, prioritise activity and monitor and report on performance as well as liaising with the operational teams to ensure that targets are achieved.
You will be responsible for the Measurement Arrangements (consumption reporting) and work with the Billing Team to ensure that the Quarterly Consumption Reports are produced and submitted to MoD in accordance with the contractual requirements, including the development and implementation of policies, methodologies and consumption activity required to maintain a compliant Measurement Arrangement for each Site Group. You will be the key client point of contact for day to day and policy issues relating to the Measurement Arrangements.
Working with the Billing Manager, you will lead the Business Planning process including the production of annual and quarterly reforecasts of water and wastewater services costs and Consumption income to reflect changes to water supply profiles and savings from cost reduction initiatives.
What skills are we looking for?
You will be an effective leader with technical knowledge of water distribution systems, leakage management and water demand reporting, including regulatory or contractual compliance reporting experience.
You will have a commercial orientation with the ability to add value through analytical thinking coupled with the ability to innovate and adapt.
The role will require you to be a strong team player who can supports colleagues and work with others to achieve the best outcome.
Relationship skills, the ability to build relationships at all levels with both internal and external bodies. You will represent the face of Kelda Water Services Defence when meeting our clients so it is important that you are professional and credible with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Some travel will be required to carry out the role therefore a full valid EU driving licence is required.
MoD security clearance is required for this role.
