We currently have a vacancy for a Physical & Electronic Security Manager to join our Kelda Security team, part of the wider Business Services department. We are offering a Salary up to £58,942 (depending on experience) + pension + up to a 10% bonus + 28 days annual leave.
As a Physical & Electronic Security Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the security risk to Kelda is appropriately managed and that all regulatory and statutory security compliance requirements set by the Government and Water UK are met. You will help create policies and a strategic strategy for physical & electronic security for Kelda and ensure it is delivered in a way that manages all current and emerging security risks facing Kelda. The role is based at our head office in Bradford.
What will the role involve?
You will be responsible for helping to create the strategic physical & electronic security strategy, security policies, plans and procedures that will manage Kelda’s security risks in the present and in the future. You will ensure that Kelda’s national infrastructure continues to meet its regulatory and statutory security compliance requirements set by Defra and Water UK.
You will manage a security team and performance manage Kelda’s security guard force, Alarm Monitoring Centre staff and the electronic and physical security contracts in order to bring governance and assurance around Kelda’s security standards.
You will have financial responsibility for a £20m plus capital investment programme including the responsibility for delivering some million security schemes and initiatives. You will procure security frameworks and contracts that will enable the delivery of security services and products for Kelda.
You will provide both technical and non-technical security advice to staff and capital projects. You will audit sites, respond to security incidents, evaluate the security risks to Kelda and take a leadership role in promoting and driving a security culture change within Kelda.
You will liaise with all levels of the business and be able to operate at a senior leadership and senior management level.
What skills are we looking for?
You will have a significant knowledge and experience of general security and technical security mitigation measures, both physical and electronic. You will have a broad understanding of current security technologies, vulnerabilities, exploits, exposures and malicious behaviours. You will have experience of conducting criminal and security investigations, site surveys, site audits, security assessments and risk assessments.
You will have experience of supporting and embedding change, able to influence and drive the right culture and behaviours and have the ability to interface smoothly at all levels of the business. You will be adept at developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships and can interpret requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
Your communication in report writing, information assimilation/dissemination and presentations will be effective and you will possess strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to motivate and influence people. Stakeholder management is integral to the success of this role, so you will need to be able to demonstrate these skills.
You will have previous experience in strategic planning and project management.
You will have a Security Clearance or can successfully pass a Security Clearance. (A requirement for the role)
