Salary £27,324.00 - £34,156.00 dependant on experience + attractive pension + quarterly performance related bonus + 25 days holiday + company car/allowance
You will be required to visit locations across the Yorkshire Region therefore a full valid and clean EU driving licence is essential.
As part of this role, you will be required to participate in a stand-by rota. This will typically be 1 week in every 7.
What will the role involve ?
As a Trade Effluent Advisor you will ensure Trade effluent compliance from non-house hold customers and traders. you will take enforcement action for non-compliance with trade effluent consents including instructing legal action and giving evidence in court for your area of Yorkshire.
You will represent the trade effluent team at a company and the company at a national and international level. Investigate and provide evidence and reports of network/treatment impact in the network from trade effluents.
You will calculate determinants and loadings required for a receiving STW from a customers proposed or existing trade effluent and you will provide our customers with trade effluent consultancy and communicate issue to them and work to resolve any problems arising from discharges.
You will provide 3rd party evidence to assist challenging failed samples from works that have been classed as failing or at risk.
You will support the completion of the trade effluent sampling programme.
Working within the new retail competition rules, the role has a significant part to play in updating the market with the status of applications, enquiries and sample results to ensure accurate billing.
What skills are we looking for ?
You will have exceptional influencing, negotiating skills and communication skills(verbal and written) with proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Experienced in supporting and embedding change, able to influence and drive the right culture and behaviours.
The successful applicant will be passionate about delivering great customer service and have the ability to tailor approaches for different customer types.
The successful candidate will be an effective team-player but also be able to work without supervision
You will be computer literate, with data analysis skills.
You must be physically fit, to be able to lift crates of samples, lift inspection hatches etc. enjoy working outdoors and be comfortable working at heights if necessary.
It is essential for applicants to have a knowledge of waste water treatment processes, industrial treatment processes, flow measurement and sampling technologies
You will have an understanding of chemical compounds and how they may affect the environment and sewage treatment
Applicants will have a scientific background therefore a degree in a relevant discipline is preferable
